A waterproof finish that holds up in wet snow, thermal insulation inside, a line understated enough to wear off the slopes. The women's Courchevel ski jacket was developed for snowy environments and hard cold.
It is the piece to choose if you want a jacket that can hold a full day in the mountains but is smart enough not to be reserved for skiing: it works over technical kit as well as over jeans, in town, when winter properly sets in. The burgundy pairs easily with black ski trousers or light salopettes, and the cut layers without trouble over a thermal layer or a fleece jumper.
The outer is a waterproof technical textile, the inner lining is thermal. Machine wash at 30°C, delicate cycle, zip done up and jacket turned inside out. No bleach and no fabric softener: softener degrades the water repellent finish on the surface. Air dry on a hanger, away from a heat source. For surface marks, a wipe with a damp sponge is enough, without soaking the fabric. That regular care avoids full washes, which wear out the jacket's water repellent finish much faster.
